Learning outcomes

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The philosophical and theoretical bases and assumptions of educational research. The issues and epistemological underpinnings surrounding several methods approaches.
Major research paradigms and designs.
Types, forms, aims and goals of the research process.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Connection between the fundamentals of research methodology and instruction and teaching in preschools and primary schools.
Choose, build and administer the tools of research in educational settings and schools.
To develop in students the ability to define and formulate research problems and questions and, where appropriate, formulate hypotheses that can be tested.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS
To provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to evaluate educational research critically and to carry out rigorous research in the field of education.
Autonomous and critical reflection on their own experience and on their work contexts.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to argue and to express the concepts learned with appropriate language.

Learning skills
Develop learning skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.
Develop a reflective attitude.
