Overview

1. Know the methodologies and tools that organizations can use to ensure that its members are able to understand and effectively manage the complexity of the cognitive process that regulates the formation of impressions and promotes appropriate decisions within the organization.
2. Know how to use different existing information flows and their information content in order to be able to contribute adequately to the correct representation of health companies.
3. Understand the funding mechanisms and the constraints that they determine the scheduling and functionality of health services.
Optional course is aimed to the acquisition of specific knowledge and training aspects leading to the acquisition of a personalized curriculum for student

Course contents

The course covers: A) the report programming-funding, with reference to three levels: national, regional and enterprise; B) the correct representation of of health companies; C) the foundations of the social perception that contributes to the formation of impressions, the formulation of the judgment resulting from the process of causal attribution, the roots of prejudice, the implications and possibilities of its reduction (heuristics and errors of human reasoning), everything to improve the involvement and motivation of the staff through the evaluation system.

Guided Practice The teaching method relating to optional course will be different depending on specific course: frontal lesson, seminar, or internship

Assessment methods

• Oral on: textbook; financing and programming processes; original project relating to a health company. • Written test consists of three open questions concerning the interpretation of results published (information flows presented in the course). The final evaluation for optional course can be of different types: written or oral exam, for academic courses of Unimore, or project work and oral presentation for internship

Learning outcomes

1. Knowledge and understanding: acquisition of a multidisciplinary background about nature of planning in health companies, and about the corresponding financing and optimal management of human resources.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding to know how to interpret the results from A) Based on information flows, B) planning and economic sustainability of the health companies, C) proper management of human resources.
3. Making judgments: being able to detect problems of planning and economic sustainability of the health companies and proper management of human resources.
4. Communication skills: knowing how to express the logical concatenation in programming and economic sustainability of the health companies, in addition to adequate argument concerning the proper management of human resources.
5. Learning skills: able to participate in educational activities, monitoring and final evaluation provided by the course.
