Aknowledging the possible applications of unconventional medicine and the scientific evidences on the subject.

Knowing the planning activities in the Health system in order to being able to elaborate a project.
The student must know the principal evidences related to clinical practice and to helpful models in the field of midwifery.
Theory e philosophy of nursery: analyse the main theories in the nursing assistance.
Theory and philosophy of nursery; to identify the features and the phases of the process of assistance, with scientific method; to acquire the knowledge of languages/ systems of nursing classification and to discuss the feasibility.
Advanced methodology of nursing assistance based on evidence: to acquire knowledges on methods and means for practice based on evidence.
To examine conceptual fundamentals, methodology of the process of research and the different approaches, qualitative and quantitative, in the field of the nursing and midwifery profession with particular reference to the identification of clinical and/or organisational questions of research, relevant with the inquiry field of the bolognino profession.
To facilitate the promotion and partecipation of experts to research projects by means of the understanding of the elements which constitute the phases of scientific inquiry.
Knowledge of fundamental principles related to the bibliographic research of primary and secondary database.
Knowledge of epidemiology and medical statistic elements, in particular the statistic variables, the measure of central tendency and dispersion measures, controlled randomised studies.
Basic knowledge of the English language

Use of unconventional medicine: scientific evidences and applications.
Multiethnic midwifery: CFU (1)
Informations regarding the services and the webs which deal with multiethnic midwifery assistance. Analisys of experiences of business organisative models regarding multiethnic midwifery assistance.
Intercultural Nursing: CFU (1)
Restoration and analisys of knowledges of equity, diversity, sensibility and stereotypes in migrants assistance.Planning and evaluation of the processes of the midwifery assistance CFU (1)
Planning, the phases of a project, the factors of success of a project, principal causes of failure of a project.
Advanced methodology of midwifery assistance based on evidence CFU (2)
The importance of evidence in the midwifery decision making. Needs analisys/ intervention on gender health and in the reproductive sexual field.Methodology of the research in the nursing profession CFU (2)
Definition and aims of the research, the correlation between research, clinical practice and education and the areas of inquiry and phenomena of the professional field towards which the making of a new awarness is prioritary. The architecture of the clinical research. The scientific method: characteristics and methodological phases; qualitative and quantitative researches.Advanced Methodology of nursing assistance based on evidence CFU (2): definition of evidence based practice; the method of evidence based practice; the means for a critic evaluation of the clinical studies and systematic revisions, elements for the implementation of scientific evidences in clinical practice.Theory and philosophy of nursing sciences CFU (2): principal theories of nursing assistance; characteristics and phases of the process of assistance, as a scientific method; languages / nursing classificational systems and to discuss the feasibility.
Interactive frontal lessons. Works in groups. Frontal lessons with the evaluation of the present different professional roles. Role playing with the presence in class of a linguistic mediator. Analisys of documents and scientific articles, use of videos. Interactive frontal lessons even with the discussion in plenary of scientific articles. -
Elaboration of projects based on a clinical query, of assistance or organisational. Presentation of the projects. Request of the elaborate and of the three macroareas of intercultural nursing Writing of a procotol of study and realisation of the study until the collection of all the data. Advanced methodology of nursing assistance based on evidences CFU (2): production of an individual written report based on the critical evaluation of a scientific article according to the structure of a CAT related to themed areas which have as a focus nursing or midwifery interventions. Theory and philosophy of nursing sciences CFU (2): the group works will be presented in the class and will be object of judgment.
Knowledge and comprehension: students will aquire advanced knowledge: in the methodology of research in the nursing and midwifery field, in the application of unconventional medicine based on scientific evidence, in the health needs of foreign community and the socio-cultural factors which influence them, in the caracteristic of the multiethnic midwifery assistance.
Ability of applying knowledge and comprehension
Students will be able to:
Identify specific problems and areas of research in the clinic, organisative and formative field
Describe the principal pictures of the quantitative and qualitative studies
Project and lead in autonomy research activities in the field of the nursing and midwifery profession.
Acquire knowledge on the instruments of the critical evaluation of clinical studies and systematic revisions, to implement scientific evidences on clinical practice and knowledge related to the narrative Nursing.
Autonomy of judgement:
The students throughout the written relations develop the ability to present the data of the projects elaborated in a precise, appropiate way and sustain a discussion regarding the treated matters.
Ability of learning:
The students are able to provide independently costant updates of one’s duties according to the context in which they have to act, using the learnt instruments.
