Overview
The course aims to bring students to the B1 language level of the European Reference Framework.
It will focus on receptive (reading and listening comprehension) and productive (writing and speaking)
skills
Admission requirements
Knowledge of the English language at A2 level of the European Reference Framework
Course contents
Exercises in four skills - reading, writing, speaking, listening
Teaching methods
Face to face lessons. We will learn methods to handle listening exercises, like identifying distractors, how to understand nuance, how to deal with a reading exercise, group work for speaking- role plays or case studies, we’ll focus on writing emails. Language that the course will be taught: English
Assessment methods
It’s highly recommended: you must have a minimum of 70% attendance in order to take the in class exam (otherwise, students are required to do the non- attending exam) You must get 60% in the final exam. There will be 6 exams during the year- one in January, one in Febbruary, two in June, one in July and one in Septembe
