Psychiatry and Psychiatric Rehabilitation 1 (TRP 1°year)
The course aims to provide the basics of psychiatric semeiotics and psychopathology and to introduce the concept and basic principles of psychiatric rehabilitation

Psychiatry (FISIO-LOGO-TO 2° year)
The course aims to provide the basics of psychiatric semeiotics and psychopathology

Neurology I (FISIO-LOGO-TO-TRP 2° year)
The course aims to provide the basics of clinical neurology. At the end of the degree program, students are expected to be able to:
1. Collect a neurological history, paying particular attention to the anatomical location and temporal profile of the symptoms.
2. Perform a basic neurological examination
3. Recognize the most common neurological diseases and emergencies
4. Know the basics of the most common drug treatments and other strategies
5. Recognize the influence of impairment on the genesis of disability.
6. Direct the patient towards an appropriate rehabilitation path
7. Understand the role of various health professions in the multidisciplinary management of complex diseases and in the care of patients with neurological disabilities
8. Understand the ethical issues associated with neurological disorders.

Neuropsychology - Neurology II (FISIO-LOGO-TO 2° year)
The purpose of the neuropsychological class is to provide students the essential knowledge of neuropsychology, its methodology and of the main neuropsychological diseases.

Image Diagnostics (FISIO-LOGO-TO-TRP 2° year)

The course aims to provide the basics of diagnostic imaging and in particular to illustrate the different energy sources used and the physical principles underlying the formation of traditional radiological images, ultrasound, CT, MRI and medicine. nuclear.
The course also aims to illustrate the legislation and general principles governing radiation protection, in particular with regard to the effects of dosimetric exposure to x-rays and the rules that govern it.
In the specialized part that is addressed in the second part of the module, the goal is to illustrate the role of the different radiological methods in the study of the musculoskeletal and neurological systems. The radiological imaging characteristics of the main musculoskeletal and neuroradiological pathologies will be addressed and illustrated.

Geriatrics (LOGO-TO-TRP 2° year)

PSYCHIATRY (TRP 2 year)
the course explores elements of psychopathology, with particular reference to the techniques for conducting the interview with patient

Admission requirements

Preliminary knowledge of general and clinical psychology

Basic knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.

Basic Knowledge of the neurophysiological basis of behavior and of perceptual, motor and mental functions

Physics general notions in order to understand the action’s mechanism of the energy sources used in radiology at the basis of radiological images generation.

The interview with the patient: objectives, bio-psycho-social approach, history, psychopathological orientation and about the personality

Neurology I (2 CFU)
Diagnosis and treatment of the most common neurological conditions: cerebrovascular diseases, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases including motor neuron diseases, parkinsonism and movement disorders, dementia, brain neoplasms, epilepsy, head and spinal injuries. Diagnosis and therapy of neurological emergencies.
Peripheral nervous system: radiculopathies, multi, poly, mononeuropathies, myopathies.
Introduction to neuroradiological investigations, neurophysiological investigations, clinical-neuropathological correlation in neurology.

Neuropsychology - Neurology II (2 CFU)
Research methods in neuropsychology; perception and its disorders; body representation and its disorders; movement disorders and apraxia attentional systems and neglect; memory; learning, memory disorders and dementia; language, aphasia, dyslexia and dysgraphia; executive functions; emotions and disorders of emotions.

Diagnostic Imaging (1 CFU)
Main energy sources used in radiology, in particular x-rays, ultrasounds, magnetic fields and radio frequencies, radioisotopes and the mechanisms that produce them. Physical principles that lead to the formation of the radiological image.
Regulatory principles governing radiation protection and underlying the damage caused by ionizing radiation. Protective devices to be used on the patient and on the X-ray operator.
Role of radiological methods for the study of bone, joints and muscles and tendon and of the main pathologies such as fractures, primary and secondary bone tumors, inflammatory and degenerative arthropathies and soft tissue diseases.
Main radiological methods used in neuroradiological imaging and their role in major pathologies such as traumatic pathology, stroke, tumors and degenerative pathology of the spine.

CdS TRP - TO - LOGO 2°year (1CFU) Geriatrics

Teaching methods

Delivery method: in presence. In the event of a Covid emergency, alternative methods will be provided (predictably delivered at synchronous distance and the relative recordings will be available to students. The platform used will be Microsoft Teams, available free of charge to all Unimore students.) Teaching attendance method: compulsory, attendance will be detected at the beginning of the lesson Didactic strategies used: frontal lessons with power point slides support. Psychiatry (FISIO-LOGO-TO 2° year) Written test with multiple choice questions to verify the appropriate scientific knowledge of the topics covered. The results will be announced within one week Introduction to Psychiatry modules A and B (TRP 1° year) Written test with multiple choice questions to verify the appropriate scientific knowledge of the topics covered. The results will be announced within one week Psychiatric Rehabilitation (TRP 1° year) Oral exam of about 20 minutes, semi-structured, which will focus on the topics covered. The results will be announced at the same time Psychiatry (TRP 2°year) Oral exam of about 20 minutes, semi-structured, which will focus on the topics covered. The results will be announced at the same time Neurology I (LOGO, TRP, FKT, TO 2°year) Oral exam (20-minute interview). Neurology II (LOGO, FKT, TO 2°year) The student is required to register into Esse3. Registration is closed two days before the exam date The examination is composed of a written test consisting of four closed-ended questions, with only one correct answer (the score is 3 points in case of correct response); two open questions (the score is calculated in a range between 0 and 9 points) and an open question for praise. Results will be posted in Esse3. The minimum vote to pass the examination is 18/30. The time available for the test is 60 minutes. Learning outcomes

Psychiatry and Psychiatric Rehabilitation 1 (TRP)
At the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge relating to:
- definition, history and evolution of psychiatric rehabilitation;
- psychic and psychiatric semeiotic activities; classification of mental disorders; the therapist-patient relationship; the setting.

Neurology I and II (TRP, TO, FKT, LOG)
Knowledge and understanding classroom lectures, and discussions with the teacher lead the students to learn the mechanisms the main neurological and neuropsychological disorders.
Applying knowledge and understanding: the discussions on the various topic led the students to apply their knowledge to foresee and understand the main neurological and cognitive diseases.
Critical analysis: through discussions in the classroom the students acquire the ability to critically discuss neurological and cognitive disorders presented during the course.
Communication abilities: the discussions in the classroom s may lead to developing the capacity to communicate with specialists and non-specialists.
Learning skills: the course allows the students to continue to deepen her/his knowledge in a predominantly self-directed manner and with critical ability.

Diagnostic imaging
At the end of the course, students will have learned general notions relating to the main methods used in diagnostic imaging, the physical principles and energy sources that characterize them. They will know the main regulations governing the use of radiological methods that use x-rays. They will know which methods will be used in the study of the various pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and of neuroradiological interest, knowing the information that each method can provide in the particular clinical-pathological context.

Geriatrics
Knowledge and understanding: classroom lessons lead the student to learn the main characteristics of geriatric disorders.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student must be able to apply the knowledge acquired to predict and understand the changes in the functioning related to aging.
Autonomy of judgment: the student will be able to critically discuss and recognize problems related to the topics of the course.
Communication skills: class discussions will allow you to develop the ability to express the concepts learned with appropriate language and to hold a discussion about the topics covered.
Learning skills: the course allows students to acquire the methodological tools to be able to independently provide for their own updating in the geriatric field.
